Natural deodorant not working? 9 fixes
If your natural deodorant isn't working, check that you're applying it to clean, completely dry skin, using enough to cover the whole underarm, and giving your body three to four weeks to adjust after antiperspirant. Fabric, shaving and diet can also play a part. If nothing changes after a month, the formula probably doesn't suit you.

Why you might smell more after switching to natural deodorant
Many people notice stronger underarm odour for one to three weeks after stopping antiperspirant. Your sweat glands are no longer blocked, so you sweat more, and the bacteria on your skin adjust to the change. It isn't a detox. Washing well, applying to dry skin and reapplying midday usually get you through it.

Deodorant balm too soft, melted or grainy?
Deodorant balms are made with coconut oil and shea butter, which soften or melt in warm rooms and can turn grainy when they set again slowly. The balm still works. To firm it up, put the jar in the fridge for 15–20 minutes. To avoid it, store the jar somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight.
